Infrared night vision cameras are all around us
MJOPTC can customize ,research & develop related night vision lenses or provide OEM/ODM cooperation according to customer needs.
Face recognition unlocking of mobile phones, safety induction doors of elevators and shopping malls, distance sensors of mobile phones, surveillance cameras for security, 950nm iris recognition smart home. These devices have penetrated into our daily life, and the common denominator of these technologies is the application of near-infrared rays.
Surveillance cameras have long been commonplace. At first, it was only used in important places such as government offices and banks. Now, with the advancement of technology, it has already entered small shops and even homes.
Surveillance cameras can capture black and white images even in completely dark places. What is the principle? In fact, it is infrared night vision. The infrared cutoff filter (ICR) of the surveillance camera is movable and driven by a micro motor or electromagnet. Once the camera senses the dark environment, the camera will automatically lift the filter up to allow near infrared rays to pass through, at the same time, the system will turn on the built-in infrared LED light, so that the environment is clearly visible, and it will not disturb people's rest because of the visible light.
At present, the night vision cameras we use are basically infrared night vision cameras. As the name suggests, they are cameras that use infrared technology to realize the "night vision" function.
The following is the ICR appearance:
The principle of the camera using near-infrared light instruction
Visible light is composed of red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, and purple lights. with wavelengths ranging from long to short, and those with wavelengths greater than visible red light are collectively referred to as infrared light. Although we cannot observe the existence of infrared light with the naked eye, objects still reflect infrared light. Since there is no visible light or only weak visible light in the dark environment, objects cannot reflect or can only reflect a small amount of visible light to our retina, so we cannot or only see part of the objects in the dark environment. The night vision camera can use the infrared transmitting device on the camera to emit infrared light waves. These light waves are reflected on the surrounding objects and are captured by the infrared receiving device of the night vision camera. This allows night vision cameras to discern the influence of people or objects around them without emitting visible light waves.
Lens selection for night vision cameras:
FOV field of view: according to the needs of the use scene, there are general viewing angles, wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle
Focal length: according to the space required to capture the object, there are close focus, medium focus, telephoto, and far focus
Aperture: There are ordinary infrared, starlight, full color, black light according to the clarity of the required object intake
Sensor: A chip with sensing capability above the star level is required
MJOPTC can customize , research & develop related night vision lenses or provide OEM/ODM cooperation according to customer needs.
Note: The "near-infrared" here refers to the infrared whose wavelength is 780nm~1000nm invisible to the human eye. With near-infrared night vision, additional infrared fill lights are also required to achieve the desired effect.
